From Tuesday 12 March to Friday 15 March the MOBILISE COST-Action will come together in Sofia, BG for a large event fulfilling several purposes.

The meeting in Sofia is a large kick-off meeting of the Action that brings together more than 150 people from more than 40 countries to focus on specific challenges around data mobilisation, publication and re-use derived from natural science collections. This makes this one of the largest events around biodiversity data mobilisation.

The meeting will start with the Management Committee of the Action coming together to discuss the activities so far and sketch out the work plan for the upcoming year. This will be followed by workshops of all the working groups attached to MOBILISE.

Finally, on days three and four, MOBILISE will hold its first Training School. It received 127 applications from more than 30 countries and was therefore more than 4 times oversubscribed.

The whole event will be hosted by by the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research and the National Museum of Natural History – Sofia, both units of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
