From Monday 10 to Friday 14 February 2020 the MOBILISE COST Action will come together in Warsaw (Poland) for a large event focusing on challenges around data mobilisation, publication and re-use derived from natural science collections.

The meeting will start with workshops of all the working groups attached to MOBILISE and the meeting of Management Committee of the Action, coming together to discuss the activities so far and sketch out the work plan for the upcoming year.

– WG1/WG3 workshop: Data management strategies (for scientific collections)
– WG2 workshop: Quality issues in georeferencing – From physical collections to digital data repositories for ecological research
– WG4 workshop: Data storage and archiving strategies
– WG5 workshop: Data publication pipelines and strategies
– WG6 workshop: Training, communication & outreach plan
– TS: Training School “Digitisation and data management challenges in small collections”
– Wikidata workshop

This will be followed by the 2nd MOBILISE Training School “Digitisation and data management challenges in small collections”, organized in cooperation with GBIF and DISSCo.

The whole event will be hosted by the University of Warsaw.
