In Sofia, Bulgaria, from 14 to 15 March 2019, MOBILISE held its 1st Training School (TS) on “Digitization and Data Management Challenges of Small Collections” facilitating the capacity building of researchers working on natural history institutions holding small collections. The TS call attracted the interest of many researchers worldwide, suggesting a need for the scientific community to be trained and gain knowledge and skills on the digitisation of big and heterogeneous datasets. A total of 125 applications were submitted to MOBILISE, surpassing more than 4 times the available vacancies!
