The MOBILISE Virtual Workshop “Crowdsourcing for Natural Science Collections – closing the circle of data flow” was organized on 2 & 9 November 2020.

The aim of the workshop was to bring the Citizen Science platform developers and the Collection Management System (CMS) developers together to develop standards and best practice for managing data migration between these two systems. The workshop gave collection managers the opportunity to discover the citizen science options available and the implementation considerations for the CMS used in their institutes. The workshop consisted of two three-hour virtual sessions, which included a series of short presentations covering the current status of crowdsourcing platforms and collection management systems with regard to managing crowdsourcing data flow.
