Register for the innovative 3-month Training course (January 16 to April 7, 2023) dealing with biodiversity and climate change, already posted on the website of DEST (https://cetaf.org/dest/online) -training-course-on-biodiversity-and-climate-change)
of the consortium of Natural History Museums of Europe CETAF (https://cetaf.org), with a registration deadline of December 15, 2022 and the low fee of 120 euros.
The course deals with the critical concepts of biodiversity and climate change, as well as the interaction between them. Two groups of organisms directly affected by climate change, the herpetofauna (amphibians & reptiles) and medicinal plants, are also presented as case studies. Experts from the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium, the Natural History Museum of Hungary and the Natural History Museum of Crete – University of Crete, have developed the entire original online material exclusively for the needs of this online course.
The course stands out for its innovation, as its LMS platform has been adapted to follow the requirements of the Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) pedagogical methodology, which ensures the construction of knowledge by the learners themselves, the interaction between learners and trainers, developing thus a learning experience among learners that enables them to become more competitive for entering the labour market.
